Great reason to be tired. So very happy for you and your latest blessing. Rest, rest, rest. :) Let others pamper you.

How old was your oldest when you first allowed her to witness the birth of a sibling? And were you nervous about how she would do with experience?

Thanks everyone, I just love to have fun news because I know that my bloggy friends are faithful to comment! :)

Michelle, she was supposed to see baby number four come in to the world, when she was 11. I woke up in pretty serious labor and didn't want to wait for my husband to go and wake her up.... I wanted to just get in the car and head to the birthing center right then - so she missed that one.

She was there for baby number 5, at a birthing center, baby number 6 at home and baby number 7 at the hospital, so by all accounts she's pretty much seen it all!

I was afraid that it would be hard/scarry/weird for her but it turned out to be wonderful. I talked to her a lot ahead of time, and really, I just wanted her to have some idea of what to expect for her own peace of mind when she was the one giving birth. I was so worried when I had her because I had no idea what would happen. She, on the other hand, has a good idea. And, I made her promise that she'll let my little girls be in on a birth or two of hers when they are teenagers, because I'm guessing by then I'll be done having babies and I want them to have the same experience as their big sister. :)

Congratulations!
Take it easy getting into a running program postpartum. I think I would just walk for 4 weeks or so.....I didn't start running until my baby was 13 months, so I really don't know how it feels to run so soon after giving birth!
I do know that the exercise will make you feel good, just don't overdo it!
