I did not grow up on a farm or ranch- poor white kid in a bad city neighborhood with a single mom on welfare *U* I did spend summers in the country, and often visiting my great aunt & uncle's big farm. Every animal you could think of lived there- inside and outside! Uncle Dudley rode a big pig with a saddle, and aunt Ruth raised animals in the bathtub. Something rubbed off!
