Heard in our van today from the back seat:"Ug! I am six years old and I still don't know how to unbuckle my car seat."
Me -"Well, when Sissy and Macho Man were six, they weren't even in car seats... that was the law back then."
With a long sigh, "That Bush, he was a nice guy."

A very cute comment and so astute to the fact that it is silly that he still has to be in a car seat. But I do believe it was a law that was passed under the Bush administration and it is not a national issue but a local one. He can more likely thank Queen Christine and our state law makers!!

It is so cute how they figure out the politics in their minds... to try to explain that the president doesn't actually send down every mandate from high up was out next conversation. We did a big unit on voting before the election but I guess that just went right over his head!
